Coming Soon: Emergency Care For First Responders
ECFR: Level 4
The Level 4 Award for Emergency Care for First Responders (RQF) is the progression route for First Responders after conducting ECFR Level 3. This will teach you the skills required to work as a first responder accepted by many NHS Trusts for working as an Ambulance Care Technician. The qualification is still being developed but will likely cover the following:
Advanced Scene Safety
The practicalities of common emergency scenes and reporting.
Bleeding Management
The use of equipment to stop different types of bleeding.
Airway Management & O2
Giving O2 and NO2 and good airway management by using various tools.
Immediate Life Support
ILS, identifying and drawing up life-saving drugs, advanced medical interventions and much more.

Nico
Founder & Managing Director
Nico has been working in film and tv for over 10 years, helping productions in places as far away as Borneo and India and as challenging as the jungles of Colombia and Panama. A risk specialist in hostile environments, his strengths lie in advising on practical safety measures and logistics on more creative and imaginative challenges off the beaten path. A lover of photography and videography, Nico is great at putting a creative spin on safety and can capture your content in hard to reach places.
Aneurin
Operations Director
Aneurin is a seasoned Operations Manager in the Adventure and Expedition industry, with over 10 years varied application across the world, and 7 years of advanced military training in small teams in remote and hostile environments. Experience across such a broad set of industries has led to sharpened skills across different fields, leading to a versatile and adaptive approach – and fostered a love in particular, for solving problems with creative, lateral and well thought out solutions.
Nick
Director
Nick is a highly skilled and efficient Director of Photography, with experience across documentary and commercial productions for the BBC, Netflix, and Disney Plus among others. He has spent his career honing his skills in some of the most remote and challenging locations on Earth, from the Amazon rainforest to the Icelandic tundra, with plenty in-between. He is a multi-skilled technician and an experienced drone pilot, with a GVC and also FAA Part 107 certification.
Katy
Business Development
Working for over 10 years in the advertising industry, Katy has invaluable experience working with production teams for TV and film and with a background in event management and client services, loves nothing more than helping to bring a challenging project to life. Day to day she hunts out new opportunities for us and assists on productions, but also a full-time copywriter she’s our creative consultant, responsible for bringing the Black Aspect vision to life.
